Abstract
The Vietnamese government is pushing for higher implementation of distributed photovoltaic (PV) generation through various policies. Due to the decreasing trend in feed-in tariff (FIT) prices, self-consumption of energy is an increasingly viable option. The increased PV penetration in the distribution grid also leads to changes in the voltage profile on the distribution line, which needs to be regulated. The paper discusses a study where an energy management system (EMS) is implemented for a commercial building in Hanoi after modelling the respective generating units. As a next step in the study, the self-consumption behaviour of the building is analyzed and the voltage regulation for a sample distribution grid in Vietnam is implemented.
