Abstract
The biological contact oxidation method has the advantages of low operating cost, stable treatment effect, and good effluent quality, and is widely used to treat domestic and industrial sewage. Based on a large amount of literature, this research expounds the origin, development, and decontamination mechanism of the biological contact oxidation method. The main factors affecting the biological contact oxidation method and its research progress were systematically analysed to provide a reference basis for the further development of this technology.
