Caries: A Review on Recent Trends and Advances

Abstract

Caries are one of the most common oral diseases in daily life. Its incidence rate increases year by year, and it has excellent harm and poor prognosis. With the development of medical technology, although inevitable progress has been made in preventing and treating caries, it is still clinically impossible to effectively control and treat caries in the early stage of onset. Therefore, researchers still need to deepen the treatment of caries further. According to the literature on caries in recent years, this article systematically summarizes the research progress of caries, mainly discusses the pathogenesis, preventive measures, and treatment methods of caries, aiming to lay a specific foundation for the prevention and treatment of caries.
