Abstract
This study focuses on evaluating the usability of a 3D map visualizer augmented reality application through informal, remote, and synchronous usability tests, utilizing the Think Aloud process and the System Usability Scale questionnaire. The aim is to identify potential usability issues in the prototype and develop an action plan for future iterations of the application’s development. The challenges of integrating end-users in the application development process is addressed and emphasizes the significance of early usability testing to uncover and address potential issues. The findings from the usability tests provide valuable insights into user experience, highlighting key usability issues and user feedback. A comprehensive action plan for addressing the identified usability issues is presented and implications for future research in the domain of augmented reality applications is discussed.
