Abstract

Managing rights and revenues is a persistent issue for the music industry. The sales of digital music tracks and albums must be more transparent between the music artist, the administrator, and other stakeholders. This usually results in the artists needing to receive just compensation in royalties. This study suggests a blockchain enabled online music publication and sales framework. The idea behind the solution is to use Ethereum Blockchain intelligent contracts to control music track sales and ensure that the artist(s) and the administration have agreed upon the payment distribution in cryptocurrency. The platform gives music artists, the administration, and other stakeholders more leverage by offering an automated, transparent, and impenetrable mechanism for tracking, administering, and distributing royalties.
