Abstract
This article is devoted to the study of the essence of corruption as a negative social phenomenon and its impact on the goals of sustainable development. The negative impact on various spheres of the country’s activity and the historical experience of combating corruption in Ukraine and the world have been identified. The experience of foreign countries in the field of preventing and detecting corruption has been studied. Ways to fight corruption, as well as the activities of major anti-corruption institutions in Ukraine are considered.
