Abstract

This paper provides an overview of the results of the first year of the Semantic Web Services Challenge. Other papers in this same conference proceedings provide detail of participant contributions as well as lessons learned. This paper is an introduction to the Challenge purpose, organization, methodology, problems, and solutions.
