Abstract
Breast cancer diagnosis have been investigated by different machine learning methods. This paper proposes a new method for breast cancer diagnosis using a single feature generated by Genetic Programming (GP). GP as an evolutionary mechanism that provides a training structure to generate features. The presented approach is experimentally compared with some kernel feature extraction methods: Kernel Principal Component Analysis (KPCA) and Kernel Generalised Discriminant Analysis (KGDA). Results demonstrate the capability of the proposed method to transform information from high dimensional feature space into one dimensional space for breast cancer diagnosis.
