MODELLING KNOWLEDGE FOR DYNAMIC SERVICE DEPLOYMENT - Autonomic Networks Modelling

Abstract

This paper presents an overview of the modelling aspects in autonomic networks, especially concerning the knowledge level. We treat the specification and modelling of different notions in the context the dynamic deployment of services. We propose a new and extensible object-oriented information model to represent the various concepts involved in this context. Our information model enables us to represent the notions of service, resource and profile and also to deal with the management of networks resources. UML is used to represent our model. We also present an initial view of the knowledge that is needed to manage the resource allocations and distribution of services.
