Abstract
This paper analyzes Enterprise Architecture (EA) as a discipline of study. Current EA foundations, theories and practices are discussed using an epistemological framework. Strengths and weaknesses of current approaches are discussed. Immaturity of EA as a discipline and practice Is identified. The main causes of immaturity are analyzed. A research agenda is proposed to provide maturity in EA foundations, theories and practice.
