Abstract
In the context of rendering production, and especially for indirect diffuse global illumination, many-light techniques can be used to quickly render noise free images. In this paper, we propose a view-independent algorithm, based on Well Separated Pair Decomposition (WSPD), to handle efficiently clustering of virtual point lights. Our clustering, the Visibility based WSPD (V-WSPD) consider both geometric and visibility information of two sets of points, allowing an improved rendering time with a similar image quality.
