Abstract
Secure communication between vehicle nodes is significant in Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks (VANETs). To guarantee public safety on the roads, vehicular networks need an appropriate security mechanism to protect them from various malicious attacks. In this paper we present an intrusion detection system available to detect internal malicious nodes. When an accident appear on the road, the vehicles must have information about this, but the existence of malicious nodes, the information will be deleted from the network. Because of this, we have adopted a mathematical model based on coalition and signaling game theory to design an Intrusion Detection Game (IDG) modeling the interaction between malicious nodes and the Coalition Head that equipped with Intrusion Detection System (CH-IDS) agent and seek its Bayesian Nash Equilibrium (BNE) for the optimal detection strategy.
