Abstract
This study integrates four parenting styles (authoritarian, authoritative, permissive, and uninvolved), risk propensity, and entrepreneurial interest. Two hundred and seventy six (276) students studying at various universities were involved as respondents. A series of regression analyses found that authoritative parenting style was the strongest style to influence individuals’ risk propensity and entrepreneurial interest. Furthermore, it was found that risk propensity was positively related to entrepreneurial interest. Theoretical and practical implications are also discussed.
