Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors that influence the interaction between North Sumatra and Malaysia. The analytical model used in this study is the Gravity Model with export destination country (Malaysia) and uses time-series data during the period 1983 - 2016. The estimation results show that North Sumatra’s Export have no effect on Interaction. While Exchange Rate and Malaysia’s Economy have positive and significant effect on Interaction.
