Abstract

An overview of types of electric vehicles and the variant batteries which the electric vehicles currently use is demonstrated. Different charging systems are presented. Plug-in charging system which is either on-board or off board is investigated. Moreover, fundamentals of wireless charging are analyzed for smart cities. Current market perspectives are provided. A hybrid charging system is also discussed. Different approaches for vehicle to vehicle charging either using plug or wireless charging are provided.
