Abstract

An assessing impact of the COVID-2019 pandemic on the agri-food system of Russia in the short, medium and long term has been carried out. The indicators of physical and economic availability of food are analyzed in comparison with the threshold values of the Russian Food Security Doctrine. Regions with a high and catastrophic level of economic availability of food have been identified. Trends in consumer prices for food products have been identified and the causes of food inflation have been determined. The mechanism of the "grain damper" is revealed and its positive and negative impact on food security is determined. It is noted that high risks in the agri-food system will remain in 2022.
