Analysis of Research Activities of University Teachers as Part of the Education Quality Assurance System

Abstract
The rapid development of digital technologies is changing the role of the university in the digital society. An important aspect of increasing the level of competitiveness of the university in the market of educational services is to ensure the quality of results of all higher education institution activities, especially research, so to analyze the university is important to develop and implement internal university rankings. The article analyzes the international and Ukrainian experience of presenting the results of research activities of university teachers to ensure the quality of education, ways to design systems for analyzing research activities of teachers, tools and components for evaluating the effectiveness of research. The model and stages of designing a rating system for evaluating research activities of teachers are described, which allows for systematic monitoring of openness, transparency, and efficiency of the research component of teachers’ professional activities. The key indicators for evaluating the effectiveness of scientific research are identified – citation indicators of the three most important scientometric databases – Scopus, Web of Science, Google Scholar: number of publications, number of bibliographic references, h-index, i10-index. The article presents one of the stages of the model implementation, namely the development of transparency rating by citation indicators in Google Scholar. According to the results of the study, the positive impact of the rating system is identified, the main measures to increase visibility, presence, dissemination of research results are identified, the systematic implementation of which provides effective representation of the scientist in domestic and international rankings.
