Abstract

The article outlines international trends of electronic commerce or e-commerce in global economic development. Types of e-commerce are under study. Dynamics, forecasts, volumes of the mobile payment market and expansion of the global chatbot market are analyzed. The rating of e-commerce retail sales countries is presented. E-commerce sales dynamics and forecasts in 2014-2024, dynamics of global Internet sales in 2011-2021, development of the e-commerce share in total retail sales in different regions during the COVID-19 pandemic, dynamics and forecasts for e-commerce shares in total retail sales in 2022-2030 are studied. Economic tools for regulating economic development are proposed to eliminate the digital divide in global economic development.
