Abstract
This article discusses the findings of a study on the psychological state and personal characteristics of children with chronic somatic diseases. It is noted that neurasthenic syndrome is predominant among children with various forms of chronic pathology. Additionally, alterations in self-esteem and psychological well-being of children due to the impact of the disease were identified. The study emphasizes the significance of timely psychodiagnostics and correction of psychological disorders to determine the therapy's effectiveness and ensure successful social and psychological adaptation of afflicted children.
