Abstract
The article analyses the geographical location of Central Asia, changes in its governance throughout history, common problems of the countries of Central Asia, and prospects for their solution. The article also provides an analysis of the causes of local and national problems. Based on the analysis of the geopolitical situation of countries, the interests of world powers (Russia, USA, China) in this region, as well as their natural resources, available resources, trends, and development challenges are revealed. The main economic and geopolitical threats to the modern political system of the countries of Central Asia have been identified, and the reasons for their occurrence have been scientifically analysed. Scientific and practical recommendations for creating a regional security system have been developed.
