Abstract

The article examines the periodical press of the Fergana Valley of Uzbekistan on the eve and during the Second World War. The functioning of regional periodicals during the war years is analysed. The activity of military officers, photojournalists, freelance correspondents, as well as lino typists and typesetters of printing houses is considered. Based on archival data, new names of military journalists who served at the front and in the rear have been revealed.
